COME Worship with Lake Murray Salkehatchie!
LMSalk invites YOU to worship with our campers on Sunday, July 23 @ 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary, featuring Union’s Praise Band. Our theme this year is “7 Words From the Cross” where campers will explore, through the scriptures, God’s forgiveness; His desire to be near to us; His call for us to care for those in need, the lost, the lonely, and those in pain. We will give thanks for Jesus’ sacrifice and commit ourselves to His service. Join us for this open service where we reaffirm our covenant with God to be His hands and feet in service to our homeowners and beyond!

Wish List Pot Luck Fellowship Dinner with Lake Murray Salkehatchie!
Union UMC will be hosting a Pot Luck Fellowship Dinner for Lake Murray Salkehatchie on Wednesday, July 26 at 6:00 pm in the Family Ministries Center Gym. Please fix your favorite family recipe to serve 8-10 people and come share a meal with the workers of Salkehatchie! There will be a program featuring a slideshow of pictures of workers on their sites making repairs on selected homes. Salkehatchie workers will also bring “wish lists” of items before the Union family that their homeowner sites need that are not covered by the budgeted repair items. These items of need may be used appliances, furniture, or other necessary items.

Questions, contact Monica Crodian, 917-1892. Let’s open our hearts and hands to support Lake Murray Salkehatchie andthe families that it will be serving in our community.

On Sunday, August 27, 2017 Union United Methodist Church will be giving our rising 3rd grade students Bibles, and this year, for the first time, we are hosting an interactive Bible Bootcamp for rising 3rd graders and their parents. We want to begin exploring your new Bibles with you, taking a quick tour through the 66 books of the Bible and hoping this event will whet your appetite to dig deeper into God’s Word. Bibles will be given to 3rd graders on August 27 at both the 9:00am and 11:10am services. Bible Bootcamp will begin at 12:30 with lunch, and then the interactive Bible exploration will be 1:00-4:00. Please fill out the tear-off in the bulletin or the forms also available in Narthex and return to the church office by August 6. We look forward to nurturing your child in God’s Word alongside you, hoping to raise strong young women and men of faith. Grace and Peace, Rev. Jeri Katherine W. Sipes
